At what age should you start getting adjusted?
Adjustments can start any age! It is never too late nor too early! Our Doctor is certified in Pediatric adjustments through the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association
. It is wise to get your newborn’s spine checked in their first week of life.
Can I get an adjustment if I am pregnant?
Yes! Dr. Katie is certified in the Webster Techniqu
e which is tailored and specific for a Pregnant Woman. Getting adjusted while pregnant can actually improve the pregnancy for you and your baby and make your delivery easier!
Do the Doctors take X-rays on the first visit?
Our Doctors does not X-ray every patient that walks in the door. This will depend on your specific case and your health history.
How long will my appointment last?
Your first appointment will be the longest and will last about 45 minutes. Adjustments after that can range from 15-30 minutes depending on any additional treatment you may need.
I’ve heard once you start going to a chiropractor that you will have to go for the rest of your life. Is that true?
Not necessarily. On average it takes about 8-12 visits to stabilize your spine and from there you and the Doctor will create a customized treatment plan to keep you healthy, stable and out of pain.
Will I be adjusted on my first visit?
We will take your health history and do an exam, after completion of those the Doctor will decide if Xrays are needed, if not you will get you adjusted that day.
Can I bill my insurance for a Pilates session?
Unfortunately, insurance does not cover Pilates.
Can I start Pilates if I am out of shape or deconditioned?
Absolutely! Kathy will take everything slow to make sure that she progresses you at a pace specific for your condition.
Can Pilates help me lose weight?
Pilates will not necessarily assist in weight loss, but it will dramatically help with stabilization and strengthening your muscles.
How often do I need to schedule?
Typically, 1-2 sessions a week. Kathy will go over her personalized recommendation with you after your first appointment.
What is the difference between Pilates at 5280 BHC and at Pilates studio or gym?
In our office Pilates is rehab based and tailored to each individual. Kathy takes a thorough look into your health history and current complaints and creates sessions that are distinct to your condition.
How long do massages last?
Denise offers 30, 60, 90 and 120 minute massage sessions. You can choose which is best for you!
Will insurance cover my massage?
Unfortunately, we cannot bill your insurance for massage.
